I love how Stop It Right Now articulates the issue of fashion vs prettiness in blogging. Reading style blogs has been a guilty pleasure of mine since college, and I’d much rather see someone put together an interesting outfit from thrift store finds than be exposed to someone’s personal “Glamour Shots” session complete with bad photoshop and unattainbly expensive designer duds.

Come to think of it, Glamour Shots were kinda awesome. They were the great equaliser. 16 or 60, you normally looked about 35 (and heavily made-up) in the end results.

Ok I hate to say it, but even Françoise Hardy looks bad in wide horizontal stripes, and she’s the most perfect human being ever.  Take a looksie and learn a lesson kiddos: WIDE HORIZONTAL STRIPS = FAIL.
